Simmons First Foundation Donates to Honor Grayson Murray

During the 2024 Simmons Bank Open, a small group gathered to honor the late Grayson Murray, the 2023 Simmons Bank Open Champion. Several individuals paid tribute to Grayson, including Alex Baldwin, Korn Ferry Tour president, and George Makris, Simmons Bank executive chairman. Special guests for the ceremony were Grayson’s parents, Terry and Eric Murray.

As part of the event, George Makris presented the Murrays with a $25,000 donation from the Simmons First Foundation to go towards the Grayson Murray Foundation once it is officially launched.

PGA TOUR winner Will Zalatoris, a Simmons Bank ambassador, also announced his intention to match the $25,000 donation, bringing the total contribution to the Grayson Murray Foundation to $50,000. Zalatoris said of the gift, “I'm really proud to be a Simmons Bank ambassador, and the fact that they're helping start the Grayson Murray Foundation, and I'm really happy that I'm going to match their donation to get this started.”

The Murrays were also presented with a painting of Grayson’s winning moment at the 2023 Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation.
