Simmons Bank Championship Earns PGA Tour Champions Players Award

In its inaugural year, the Simmons Bank Championship has created a national stir as a winner of the PGA TOUR Champions Tournament Awards. This week, the tournament received the Players Award, with PGA TOUR Champion players voting it their favorite event.

The Simmons Bank Championship is only the second ever first-year event to earn the Players Award, joining the Dominion Energy Charity Classic of 2016. The award recognizes a tournament that “goes above and beyond in the experience they provide the PGA TOUR Champions players.”

Player highlights from the week included top-tier hospitality, extensive fan viewing areas and dedicated efforts from Simmons Bank executives. The venue at Pleasant Valley Country Club was also noted as one of the premier locations on the PGA TOUR Champions.
